Micro switch dustproof and waterproof grade explanation


Let's take a look at the difference between dustproof and waterproof grades today.

The first digit indicates the extent to which the microswitch is resistant to dust, or the extent to which people are protected from damage in a sealed environment. Represents the level of prevention of the entry of solid foreign objects, the highest level is 6;

The second digit indicates the degree to which the microswitch is waterproof. Represents the level of water intake prevention, the highest level is 8.

Below are explanation of usual protection grade: 

1. The first digital after IP:dustproof rating

2. The second digit after IP: waterproof rating
